Mount Kinabalu Being the tallest mountain in South-east Asia, Mount Kinabalu rises to 4,101meters in north-western East Malaysia. You are able to find a great variety of plants which consists of 1200 species. Mount Kinabalu was declared by UNESCO in the year 2000 as “The World Natural Heritage in Malaysia”
Turtle Island Park Turtle Island Park is situated in the Sulu Sea, just off the east coast of Sabah. There are three gorgeous islands that make up the Turtle Island Park – Selingan, Gulisan and Bakungan Kechil Islands. As the name of the island suggests, its all about seeing the turtles laying their eggs and seeing them in their natural habitat. The best time to visit these islands is when the sea is calmest – between July and October.
The rainforests that blanket most of the foothills and mountains of Malaysia are home to a number of somewhat unexpected animals too. You can find wild bears, big cats, orangutans, various species of monkeys, bat colonies, all colors of snakes and of course crocodiles both small and very, very large!
Poring Hot Spring These hot springs are located within Kinabalu Park. You can relax in the sulfuric waters of the springs after climbing the heights of Mount Kindabalu, while at the same time you may be fortunate enough to spot the world’s largest flower – the Rafflesia, which stretches to over a meter wide at maturity.
If you are more inclined towards shopping excursions then perhaps Malaysias capital city is for you. Kuala Lumpur is a haven for shoppers where you can purchase anything from designer clothing to Asian arts and craft works. Goes without saying that the night life is something special too.
Prefer the casino? Then you should think about heading out to Genting Highlands, which they say is the Las Vegas of Malaysia. Its actually the only casino city in Malaysia and boasts some fantastic golf courses too.
As for your accommodation. Well, whatever your desires are you can find it in Malaysia. You may wish to live it up in 5 star luxury. Maybe with an ocean view too. No problem! You may on the other hand prefer to stick to city life, in which case you can find whatever you would want in Kuala Lumpur or Kuching – the city of the cat, in the southern island of Malaysia.
There is something for everyone in Malaysia. You just need to figure what appeals most to you and the world is your oyster.
