Talk of Increase in Christmas Holidays This Year!

Get ready to start booking those holidays, Christmas is here, and its being fired at us like an arrow. Stats have shown this year that many tour operators have made a loss this year. The holidays district has not done very well throughout this year, mainly due to the recession, but also due to incorrect weather forecasts, indicating a warm summer in Britain.

Now however, tour operators are saying that Christmas will receive a massive influx of holidays because of the lack of holidays during the summer season. The Christmas period does receive a lot of attention for holidays any way. Hopefully what this means is that the increase in customers coming to tour operators will mean an increase in their profits.

So will the Christmas holidays start to flood in? In order to get all the customers that they want, the tour operators are throwing out as many deals as they can. People seem to be awaiting the Christmas period to launch off on a lovely Caribbean holiday.

When you think about it, St Lucia and Barbados are two of the most popular places to go on holiday in the world, not to mention at Christmas time. In Fact they are even more popular at Christmas time. Now i don’t know about everyone else, but i find it odd that people would like to go on holiday to tropical climates at Christmas time. When I was younger and even now, the joy of a snowy Christmas always gave me such fun and excitement. When i think about Christmas time, my ideal one would be a white Christmas.

So does the weather have that much impact on our decisions anymore? Snow seems to be one of the climates that we dont seem to be bothered with. The sun and clear blue seas are what compel us to embark on Caribbean holidays. Maybe Christmas has just become one of those days of the year that we just consider a normal day now!
